Riftgame.com is the first mmorpg finally to go head to head with titan, World of Warcraft. After six years of tight gripping the online gaming community Rift is really the first contender at a real shot of overthrowing the gaming sensation also known as WOW.
Rift, to simply put it, is practically a clone of WOW, but infused with a touch of realism and everything WOW did wrong in their game Rift methodically perfected the world of mass online gameplay. The first thing you notice when entering the world of Rift is not only a higher end graphics engine, but amazing customization options when first building your new character.
In addition, they released archetypes that allow you to pick between the primary classes of rogue, cleric, warrior, and mage. While leveling through this new and exciting world you then are giving the option of choosing different class trees ultimately defining your end-game role. The extreme advantage to this is compared to WOW, you don't have to "re-roll" a new class to experience a different style of game play. You simply switch your soul specs and can go from being an assassination rogue to more of a hunter based rogue equipped with a battle boar.Even more exciting than a static wor... of Warcraft, is what they refer to in the game as a rift. Rifts are tears in the sky that can open up at any moment during gameplay. You and a team of questers are then giving the ability to battle off these rifts both sealing them and gaining rewards. This style of gameplay constantly has you on your feet and experience new and exciting scenarios.
As for game factions, there are what they refer to as Guardians and Deviants. Essentially a Guardian is the protector of the land and working to seal these Rifts between planes of existence and the Defiant are the opposing faction opening them.
Giving the advance graphic engine, unique class selections, and ever changing environments makes this a game to look out for in the future. This will also make for the first real option for users wanting to experience a new style of gameplay and get away from the mundane experiences of WOW. Go out and get your copy of Rift today!

Pros: Overall it's a pretty fun game. Features an exciting continuation of the first game in some cases probably a little too similar but, generally speaking the transition was good. Easy mode is perhaps a bit so easy so even newer players might find the moderate level not too hard but, still challengin to add a good amount of fun to the game.
Cons: Plot could use some improvement and ending wasn't that great.
Summary: Wasn't quite as good as I had hoped but, overall still a great game. Definitely worth playing.

Pros: Good graphics
Cons: This game has a horrible story line. Most of the time you are stuck jumping around without any clear direction what so ever. Then, when you eventually get to face your opponenets they out number you in obscene numbers making the game not just challenging but, more so frustrating. For new gamers or those who play first person shooters infrequently this game is NOT for you. The game even still long after it's initial release date has a number of glitches leaving even more room to be desired. Opponents are often some how able to shoot you with amazing accuracy even at near impossible angles whilst you are stuck blind. This games view points are absolutely horrible making shooting excessively challenging and navigating terain a real pain.
At one point in the game you will be forced to climb a castle wall, during this challenge the camera will shift by about 45 degrees making trying to gain perspective while jumping from one ledge to the other making this task even more difficult than it already is. Also, should you have any slight distrations during any point in this game you will likely find yourself dead in the blink of an eye. I believe at this point the game makers used extreme challenges to compensate for the general lack of content, horrible plot, unrealisticness, etc. Of course the fact that beginner game players will have to repeat challenges 15 times all the way back from the starting point makes this game one of the most boring and repetative games I've ever played.
Summary: Don't waste your money. This game is hardly if at all worth playing. A true disappintement as the trailers depecit the game as far better than it is in reality. I guess this goes back to the age old saying "don't believe what you see on TV" or in this case Youtube.

Pros: Great story line that's easy to follow so you'll have no trouble figuring out what the game is about. The main character, Cole is faced with morale decisions throughout the game. He's sort of a mix of Spiderman and an electric super hero. Scaling buildings yards at a time and surfing power lines better than Static Shock is just a taste of what Cole can do. As you progress it's best to continue picking either good decisions if that's what you chose or vice versa. By doing this you build up karma levels, which unlocks better and more destructive powers which have a ton of upgrades. Super fun, easy to play for hours on end!!
Cons: The graphics are okay but not even close to top of the line. They don't take away from the game but they definitely don't add anything. Some of the missions have to be done exactly right and attempted with prestige accuracy of movements so it can get fairly frustrating at times.
Overall I really loved the game. Aside from the few minor problems it's definitely worth buying if you're in the market for an exciting game that will give you an adventuress vacation from reality. I would recommend it to anyone that needs something to stimulate your senses more!

If you're into open world free-roam style games, this one is a keeper. Oriented in a fictional Asian country named Panau, you're a mercenary sent in to overthrow the corrupt government plagued with propaganda while also dealing with the local factions. Styled very much like the popular Grand Theft Auto series, missions are unlocked as you progress through the game, and they can be completed entirely at your leisure. You may choose to do missions, or explore the enormous Panauan landscape. To get a sense of scale for the map, placing a waypoint on one corner while standing on another will give you roughly a 45km hike. It is absolutely massive, and exploration is essential if you plan on completing the game 100%. The main story missions only make up roughly 20% of the games completion, while taking over each of the 367 locations and finding all 2700 hidden resources items, and destroying all forms of military property makes up the rest. There are 2 currency systems, one for "chaos," which is earned by completing missions or sabotaging military property, and one for money itself. Chaos is essential to progressing in the game, as causing chaos unlocks missions and various black market items. Just be careful: destroying military property will give you various levels of "heat" and the military will pursue you for your crimes against them. If you're into exploration and playing at your own pace, the massive scale of the setting will keep you entertained for hours. However, there is a major con: there is no multiplayer.

Pros- Easy to invite friends for online races and or to drive around the map with. It includes cars and motorcycles so there's no switching games to switch the vehicle you're in the mood to drive. The extension map is fairly inexpensive and a lot of fun to explore. There are a lot of different types of cars to unlock and for each one you receive there is an upgraded version that can be obtained by completing a burning route. When playing online traffic can be turned off which makes racing a lot easier without having to worry about hitting one more thing to slow you down. Also when playing online there are extra vehicles that you can use that are super fast and you don't have to unlock to use.
Cons: The extension map isn't a big addition and only takes about 10 minutes to explore. The special online cars that don't have to unlock to use can only be used online. When you crash there is no quick way around it to skip the slow motion, which wastes time and gets aggravating when racing or just trying to get somewhere quickly in general. Sometimes when you're about to crash the car still survives but even then it goes into slow motion and wastes just as much time. The second version of a car that is unlocked by completing a burning route is almost never better that the original; it just has a different paint job or slightly different body.
Overall for an online racing game it's really fun, but if you want to have a great time playing the actual game there are plenty of others in the racing genre that can one up it. It's a relatively cheap game and is worth the money if you're just looking for something new to play and enjoy.
