Pros: Who would have thought unlocked phones would perform so well with America carriers? The Nokia E71 is a sleek alternative to many of today's data-hungry smart phones. Although it's no iPhone or Android phone, it is still a powerful piece of cellular hardware that will get your communication and entertainment needs done; whether you're a businessman on the go, or teenager texting up a storm. This bar styled phone has a full QWERTY keypad and comes preloaded with the Symbian operating system, version 9.2. It has practically everything you could want in a smart phone. Software includes everything from QuickOffice, to GPS, to the Nokia OVi store which provides access to hundreds of other apps that can be installed. 3G web browsing works like a charm on AT&T's 3G bands, and there is also built in IEEE802.11b/g Wi-Fi support if you're trying to conserve on your data charges. Setting up and managing emails is as simple as can be. It has a micro-USB slot for PC-to-phone file transfer capability, along with a mircoSD slot which supports up to 8GB of memory expansion. A major pro of this phone is the battery life: it does not suck down power like the majority of today's smart phones do. You'll get anywhere from 1 to 3 days of average usage on a single charge.
Cons: One of the only downsides of this phone is the fact that it gets dirty, and rather quickly. The appealing white design is attractive, but also attracts all forms of grime. This phone is offered in either white or grey, but rumor has it both have surfaces which show fingerprints clearly.
Summary: All in all, this phone is well worth the $220, considering it is a no contract phone.

Pros: The Env 3 is a decent phone for the most part. Good reception. Nice keyboard interface for texting. A comfortable amount of room on the keyboard. In addition, it has a 3 mega pixel camera, music player, and access to html web pages.
Cons: One of the biggest downfalls of the product is that it will randomly shut off. This is notoriously associated with LG phones. Also, the front screen menu does not allow access to all the phone's functions.
Summary: It's a real shame that the phone randomly shuts off because otherwise the Env 3 is a good phone. Due to this burden, I would not recommend buying one unless LG finally deals with the software bug. Nothing is worse than using this phone as an alarm for something important, and then waking up hours after the set time because the phone randomly shut off.

Pros: Super fast in comparison to the iPhone 3Gs (usually). A good amounts of apps as compared to the apple app store. Reception is good and far better than the iPhone 3Gs. Display is pretty good and the camera is excellent quality and delivers a very crisp image.
Cons: Freezes up randomly all the time. Apps frequently crash. High latency on task switching. There's some software bug which causes it to display a message along the lines of "congradulations your phone is up to date" several times a day... Even if you didn't do any updates to the phone at all. Also, for the first month of owning the phone I was unable to get the swype texting function to work... It randomly started working about a month later, not sure why.
Summary: It was an awesome phone for the first month or so but, I find as time goes on more problems unvail themselves.

Pros: Decently fast in ovoerall performance. A massive amount of apps making it good for business and pleasure. In fact, there's practically an app for everyone whether you like art, gaming, cooking, programming, webdesign, photography, shopping, news, fiance, etc. It also comes with a pretty decent 3.0mp camera.
Cons: If you jail break it expect freezes and crashes to occur more frequently. Sadly Apple forgot to include a task manager in the firmware and so you may need to reboot the device if an app becomes frozen or the system locks up. Recention is usually good though it sometimes drops a call at random. The signal strength could be better when you compare to more modern phones. You will notice far better range in a newer phone like the Samsumg Captivate vs the somewhat poorer range of the iPhone 3Gs.
